Overview
Proof of Professional Liability Insurance is a requirement for licensure. Contact CDSPI to apply for your professional liability insurance. CDSPI will notify the CDSS when they receive your application for insurance.
See Schedule I for Registration, Licensing, and other fees.
The timeline for licensure varies from applicant to applicant and is dependent on the length of time it takes for the CDSS to receive all the required documentation, please allow a minimum of 10 business days for processing once all documents are received by the CDSS. Due to the fact that the CDSS cannot predict exactly when a license will be issued, it is recommended that applicants do not schedule any patient appointments until after the license has been issued. If, while awaiting licensure, the date on a license application and/or the issue date on a Certificate of Standing exceeds three months, the documents will be considered stale-dated and will need to be resubmitted. Please note that a Saskatchewan license will not be issued if the applicant has any open professional conduct cases in other jurisdictions. All applicants must submit a completed application form.
