The 2020 Saskatchewan Oral Health Conference is going to be another great year for learning for everyone on the dental team. We will have a total 26 sessions. We have secured some great speaking talent with more to come.

Professor of Health Law & Science Policy

Professor Timothy Caulfield is an unrivalled communicator who debunks myths and assumptions about innovation in the health sector — from research on stem cells to diets to alternative medicine — for the benefit of the public and decision-makers. He is a Canada Research Chair in health law and policy, a professor in the Faculty of Law and the School of Public Health, and a research director of the Health Law Institute at the University of Alberta.

About Dr. Dan Avram

Pediatric Specialist

Dr. Daniel Avram is a 1981 graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry. After working for five years as Supervising Dentist for the Saskatchewan Health Dental Plan and developing an interest in all things pertaining to childrens dentistry, Dr Avram obtained his specialty in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Toronto and Hospital for Sick Children in 1988. Returning to Saskatchewan in 1990, he found himself to be the only pediatric dentist in private practice in the province for over 25 years. He is the pediatric dentist for the Regina Cleft Palate Clinic and is the Division Lead for the Section of Dental Surgery in the Regina Region of the Sask Health Authority.

About Dr. Tieraona Low Dog

MD

Tieraona Low Dog is a physician, author and educator. She practiced herbal medicine and midwifery, before earning her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She is an expert in the safe use of botanical remedies and dietary supplements. A prolific scholar, she has published numerous articles in medical/science journals and medical textbooks.
